Congratulations on a sweet setup. I've been roasting BM/TO for a couple of years but have only used a standard TO. The biggest problem is the thermostat cutting in just when 1st starts; stalling the roast. I'm interested in your mods to the TO if you're happy to share? phijoa at gmail dot com.
You are my hero, that is an amazing set up. I just purchased some green from Sweet Maria's and am planning on doing my first roast sometime this wk. Thanks for the inspiration.
I found your blog through your coffeegeek profile. Where in Mass are you located? I live in Chicopee.
Ed, Its nice to know that there is another local coffeegeek. I will absolutely let you know how it goes. I think I am going to try DB/HG set up; however, I have a spare bread machine that may later find its way into service.
hi Ed, ur blog is wonderful! i'm an espresso newbie. may i ask how you built that amazing home bean roast unit? or where i can get more info about it. it looks great! i'm also very curious how to get those lovely green coffee beans. you are so organized! thank you. Hi Ed, Found your blog spot while researching coffee roasters. Still trying to find one we can afford. I am in West Africa trying to develop a coffee project here. I want to buy coffee from the farmers at a increase in price from them and raost it locally for consumtion. No one is roasting locally grown coffee in Ghana. I've been getting good response about the flavor of the beans, but just roasting them on top of the stove doesn't cut it. Any idea or help you can give me? Can you come to Africa and build one for us? Thanks dk
